The UC Davis Philosophy Department has use of a number of excellent library facilities, both paper and electronic.

The Philosophy Department Library

The Department Library is located in the Philosophy Department, in room 1231, Social Science and Humanities Building. It includes a selection of philosophy books, reference materials, and selected journals, as well as a collection of all dissertations written by Ph.D. students in the department. The Library is also the site of Philosophy Department colloquia and conferences.  Library access is restricted to faculty and graduate students in Philosophy.

The University of California Libraries

The UC Davis University Library is a scattered object housed in several buildings. The Peter J. Shields Library, located in the heart of the UC Davis campus, houses an extensive collection of philosophy books and journals, most of which can be found in the basement of the main library building. Recently-received journals may be found in the Current Periodicals section, also located in the basement. A number of logic books and journals are housed in the Physical Sciences library.
