Marina Oshana's web page
I have been a Professor of Philosophy at UC Davis since 2009. I did my PhD here and feel quite at home in northern California. Before coming (back) to Davis, I taught in the CSU system for five years, at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and at the University of Florida. I am a GATOR fan. Sorry, Aggies.
I specialize in normative moral philosophy, with a deep interest in the issues of personal autonomy, moral responsibility, identity, and the nature of the self. My teaching centers in these areas as well as in Philosophy of Law and Political Philosophy. I am actively involved in u-POW, the mentoring group for undergraduate women in philosophy. u-POWs web page is here.
