  • Inaugural Call for Papers:
Populus is now formally accepting submissions for its inaugural volume. Please see our submissions page for details. The deadline for submissions for the first volume is April 17th, 2006, but feel free to submit papers any time between now and then. We plan on publishing the first volume in June.
  • Populus would like to welcome Eric Harvey on board as Managing Editor for the journal. He will be coordinating submissions and working between the authors and the editors to ensure the journal runs smoothly.

About Populus

Populus is devoted to undergraduate research in philosophy at the University of California. The journal is currently online-based and publishes electronically one volume per year. The editorial board consists of undergraduate representatives from each participating University of California campus. The journal was founded at the University of California at Davis by Justin Khoo, with the aim of creating and maintaining a
multi-campus project that brings advanced undergraduate philosophers together to share ideas with their peers while learning about the academic journal publication process.

In addition to publishing undergraduate research articles, the journal publishes short works by undergraduates, grad students and professors on different topics ranging from the experience of graduate school to pedagogical issues that arise in the philosophy classroom.
