Discussion Groups

The Philosophy department conducts two research and discussion groups on a weekly basis. There is also an affiliated interdisciplinary cognitive science group that studies the mind from the perspectives of philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, computer science, artificial intelligence, linguistics, and anthropology.

The Philosophy groups are DaGERS (Davis Group in Ethics and Related Subjects) and the Griesemer-Millstein Lab.  Both groups meet throughout the academic year and serve as a venue for the presentation of work in progress, including dissertation research.  A link to the cognitive science group is here.
