Give to Philosophy
The generosity of donors helps the Department of Philosophy to maintain the excellence of teaching in our programs and supports our scholarly analyses of the essence of humanity, our place in the natural environment, and philosophical aspects of ethics, morals, art, religion, medicine, science and other human pursuits.
In addition to contributing general support to the Department of Philosophy, you may wish to contribute to the Aldo Antonelli Memorial Fund. Aldo Antonelli was a UC Davis professor of philosophy who died at age 53 while bicycling with friends in October 2015. He had taught at the University of Pittsburgh, Yale, Stanford, Michigan State and the University of California, Irvine, before joining the UC Davis faculty in 2008. With expertise in pure and applied logic, he focused his research on defeasible reasoning and non-monotonic logic.
A fund established Aldo’s memory supports graduate students working in logic and philosophy of logic. To donate, you may write a check to UC Davis Foundation, marked "Aldo" and mail it to: Chair, Department of Philosophy, University of California, Davis CA 95616 USA. You also may contribute online to the Dr. Antonelli Memorial Fund in Philosophy.
