Visiting Associate Professor

Gabby is a visiting associate professor specializing in philosophy of mind, cognitive science, and artificial intelligence. Her current research projects explore theories of bias and discrimination—why bias occurs, how it manifests in computational systems, what theories of representation best explain it, and when we can, or should, intervene on its operation. She also has research interests in philosophy of science (especially the role of values in scientific reasoning and explanation) and philosophy of perception (especially the ethics and epistemology of our mental lives beyond beliefs).
 
She is available to meet with students interested in related topics throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.
